RG1570z vs RG2550z and why?

I am going to buy one of these 2 but i dont know which one is better, and i dont find any differences exept from the pick ups, and i dont think that the pick ups are a problem, if i dont like them i can change them. I just want to know, whats the differece between these guitars so that the 1750 is 300€ cheaper!! And do you have any other words about this 2 models??? the bridges are the same, necks are the same profile, 1570 has dots 2550 has ghost shark fin inlay's and the neck has white binding. the finish on the bodys should be simillar. the 2550 has a pickgard and pickgard mounted pickups, and 1570's pickups are direct mounted. i have a 2005 1570 and an 08 2550z currently, and just ordered a 3250 from Rich, which is a smoking deal. if your looking at new, consider the 3250.

I would love to have a 3250 but i dont have that much money. when i first thought of buying a new guitar i thought about 600€ then i decided to sell my old one so i got about 200€ more, even if i buy the 2550 it will be hard too get that money but i will manage it somehow. However i have one more question is the playability the same?? and is it as good as the other prestige models? because i noticed that its the cheapest one.

If you like 2550, you can't go wrong with 1570. I own two MIJ 550s, 570 and a Prestige 2550. Basically, the 550s became 2550s and 570s 1570s. They are basically the same guitars with the main difference being in pickguard. I remember when I fisrt got a 570 I really missed the pickguard so I just ordered one form evilbay and drilled the holes. You can't tell the difference now.

My advice, get the 1570. Great guitar, cooler inlays, cheaper and just as good as 2550.

PS I'm not sure about the pickups though... Maybe 1570s use the Ibanez V pickups which are inferior to the IBZ/DiMarzios used in 2550. But anyway, you'll probably be changing the pickups after a while. May I suggest Breed (neck) and Evo2 in bridge?

Thnx for the advice. I dont have a problem with the pickguard, i like the 2550 more for the inlays and the galaxy black finish. But i think about the 2570 too i realy like the maple freetboard i think it belongs in the same category as the 2550 it has tha same pickups the only difference is that there is no pickguard and the maple neck. but i dont know how i can bring it in greece and how much will it cost to bring it here.
