RG20063 Neck question

I just ordered one of these on line today and can't wait to get it. The specs call for a 5 piece maple neck but I just saw on another board where someone made a comment about it having the RG1570 neck. I have a friend with a 1570 and as far as I can remember it doesn't have a 5 piece neck. Can someone that owns one please tell me if it does or doesn't have the 5 piece neck?
TIA
MT

Depends on the year. Newer ones have a 5 piece neck, like starting 3 years ago I think

Re: RG20063 Neck question

My 20051 which is a quasi 1570 is 5 piece. The brown (walnut or bubinga or whatever it is) lines are super thin, but they are definitely there. Oddly the center piece of maple is the most consitent, heavily flamed piece of maple Ive ever seen on an Ibanez neck.

The 20063 is a 5 peice neck w/thin walnut(?) lines. I was just playing mine and have to say, I love the feel and it sounds amazing with the TZ & AN DiMarzio's.

I have bought a RG2550, RG8470F & JemBRMR this year and they all have the same neck so it would make sense that the RG20063 would also, I just wanted to check.thanks

Re: RG20063 Neck question

Hey Brah... I just got a 200061, which has a 5 pc neck, and the bubinga is not as thin as it is on other necks I've seen...

It's a solid neck, however I can't say that it will be the same neck cause the 20061 is a neck thru design...

Re: RG20063 Neck question

20061 is a completely different neck. Much thinner and narrow compared to the prestige bolt-on. I have both 20061 & 20063.

Really, cause I thought all the necks were those wizard necks?? (please excuse my noobness I'm a first time Ibanez owner and really don't know a whole lot about them yet, all I know is that I've made the mistake of overlooking them all these years)

I think probably the neck is the same as a RGT320Q... cept, the back of the neck is un-finished...

I do know I've seen other necks that are bolt an and the pieces of Bubinga or Walnut are much thinner than that of the neck thru's...
