One dedicated piezo out, one switchable piezo/mag out, I think, these still confuse me a little, too many bells and whistles for me

So, to clarify, it has 2 outputs. One for both, and one for sole piezos. Awesome neck and great sounds out of that guitar, (I honestly think the piezos are better than the
EBMM Petrucci
's) but the tone was always a little too thin for me. Ah well.

Speaking of 2020 with Dimarzios, I've been thinking of getting some new pickups for my 2020 (I still have the stock V7 and V8). Anyone have any suggestions? What has worked for others?

I've got a 2020x and replaced the crappy v8 and v7 pickups with Steves Special in the bridge and an
Air Norton
at the neck...Sounds killer
The only thing I don't like about the guitar is not the pickups, but the paint job is pretty average. A simple knock on the wood from the whammy bar and I have dints in it...would have never happened to my Fender.

I put a Regular Norton in the bridge of my 2020x and an Air Norton in the neck.Great combo. The steve's special is a good pup but is very hot and very scooped. If that is what you like then great but you will never get mids out of that pup. With my Norton,it is not as tight on the bottom but close enough and plenty of mids which I can leave alone or cut out if I choose.I am also a fan of the JB pickup and the original paralell axis trembucker from Duncan. The p.a trembucker is a great pup for this guitar since it has a little more highs to warm up the slightly dark mahogony tone and it is slightly scooped.so it is like a more refined steve's special in a sense
