Re: RG2570 EVSL RGA321F(custom) RGT220A RG2550 ESP Eclipse

They are all good guitars. Of the ESP and Ibanez hardtails, I'd take the Ibanez. And the trem guitars, I'd take the RGT220A, no question.

Maybe if you searched for specific questions.

like how people feel about the basswood body on the RG2570 vs. The Mahogany Body on the 321 and the 220.

or search the forums for edge pro opinions and gibraltar hardtail opinions.

You know, at the guitar store, they usually don't make you buy the guitar if you try it out.

I know. I totally agree with you. They're trying to get back at me for posting 10 threads which I will never do.

I think I read a post where he said he learned his lesson, and if that's the case how about everybody get off his ass and only post constructive answers in any of his threads? This is supposed to be a community, not that I've always been the easiest to get along with, but there's a lot of negativity in these threads that may or may not be deserved considerring the mob mentality.

Ahh, don't worry about it. Just ignore the replies that are no use to you.

Again, they are all great, it's really just a matter of preference. There are some big differences in price, though, such as the 2550 and 220A, they are miles apart. Are you seriously planning to buy one of these guitars?

BTW, buy from Rich.

The 2550 and 2570 have the same tremolo but different bodies. the Rg220A has a natural body. Im not sure. But does the natural give it more sustain or what? Why do you say the 220A?

Re: RG2570 EVSL RGA321F(custom) RGT220A RG2550 ESP Eclipse

The 2550 and 2570 have the same bodies, exactly the same, except the 2570 has direct mounted pickups and the 2550 has a pickguard. Both have basswood bodies, which is fine, but the 220A is swamp ash and has a neck-thru body. Yes, in theory, the 220A should both sound better and sustain better. The thru-neck helps with sustain, and the lack of paint should mean the guitar resonates better. Whether or not the untrained ear can tell the difference, I don't know, but it shouldn't be too hard. Also swamp ash (220A body) can really sing. I like the sound of swamp ash a lot. Overall, the 220A is a very great and beautiful guitar. The 2550 and 2570 are just great.

One is front routed, one rear, not exactly the same body, although the tone is little changed. The A is ash, not from a swamp

Re: RG2570 EVSL RGA321F(custom) RGT220A RG2550 ESP Eclipse

It's regular ash? That's cool, I'd still take ash over basswood and the 220A over a 2550. About the bodies, we're pretty much splitting hairs. They are both basswood, both the same shape. Untrained ears won't hear a minute difference in tone.

All my hairs are split.

Wood choice is still personal, I still prefer basswood.
