Yeah, mine are going grey and falling out, it sucks.

Basswood is alright man, I could never gets too excited about it but it does the job nicely.

Man, those are all different beasts.

If you are looking for a locking trem, I'd say go for the 2570 or 2550 and change the pickups. If not, definitely the ESP Eclipse.

Ok. So im guessing the RG220A is more expensive than the 2570 and the 2550 right? How much does Rich charge for a 220A? And what about the ESP Eclipse. Any positiveness?

Now you're asking a question to others that you should be answerring yourself by doing your own legwork. Anybody else would have to do the exact same thing to find out.

Nothing "bad", it's just a Les Paul rip off, and I'd rather have a Les Paul.

Yeah, the RGT220A was around $1500, last time I looked. Not sure what Rich sells them for, I guess it depends if you get it with the pro setup or without, etc.

This might sound stupid..but i really want a trem guitar so i can dive only. I'll buy a tremol-no. Hey Rich, do you have any RGT220A's in stock? How much?

How come you want dive only? Do you have trouble tuning a floating bridge?

May seem like a Les Paul ripoff, just like the PRS single cut may seem like a Les Paul ripoff, but of all of the Eclipses vs. Les Pauls I've played, for the money I'd take the Eclipse. Great guitars.

SO MUCH TROUBLE. The thing is that i dont play in one tuning. I use 3-4 tunings. I've been searching on the net to how set up a floyd rose bridge and I coudnt find out how to tune your trem from a different tunign to another tuning. I used to have an Ibanez that i got for 450 US. It was a Ibanez Prestige S1220WNF but i sold it. I couldnt handle the edge trem.

I'm sure they are great, ESP are generally top notch, but the LP style is just not for me anyway. I wouldn't duck if someone threw one at me, but I wouldn't go buy one unless I had other guitars first.

Funny enough, my first guitar was a Hondo LP copy. It was a great guitar!

I had a mexi fender Strat as my first guitar. Had a maple neck. Was pretty cool.

Gotcha. If that's how it is I would forget it and go for a hardtail, for sure. If you want to use different tunings the Edge is just gonna slow you down. I have to say though, the RGA's look awesome.

Nice. Gotta love Strats. I took a risk recently and bought an Indonesian-made Squier bass. It's actually really good. Squier Vintage Modified Jazz (the fretted 70's version). £175 and well worth it.

Re: RG2570 EVSL RGA321F(custom) RGT220A RG2550 ESP Eclipse

but its still possibel to lock the trem with a tremol-no. Have you heard of those? So you can dive down and make it a fixed bridge and it a string pops whie it was in action, the whole thing doesnt go out of tune.

Yep, I've been meaning to buy a T-No for ages and still didn't got around to it.

Just thinking -- if you have quite a bit of money to spend on a guitar (and it seems that way because we're talking about $1500 RGT's, etc) then I wonder if you thought about buying a couple of less-expensive guitars? Something like an RGA121, plus a used RG with a trem or something? You could then have different guitars in different tunings plus the option of a trem when you need it.
