Just thinking -- if you have quite a bit of money to spend on a guitar (and it seems that way because we're talking about $1500 RGT's, etc) then I wonder if you thought about buying a couple of less-expensive guitars? Something like an RGA121, plus a used RG with a trem or something? You could then have different guitars in different tunings plus the option of a trem when you need it.
I just sold my RGA121NTF

Just got the 2570 gold (well it's more green than gold) from Rich, and I say buy the 2570, but from Rich! I have been using it alot and the thing stays in tune perfectly. Pickups I may change out later but I want to give them a chance. The guitar is very light, and the neck is sooooo fast. Again buy from Rich.

Really? Those are great, I think. I like the Violin Flat finish or whatever it's called. How come you sold it?

to earn more money than I paid for it. I earned $300 on it. Thats very good especially for a guitar. I want something with another finish thats why. The natural isnt really my thing but I might give the RGT220A a try. yes i do have money for a nice guitar.

My vote is for a RGA121H in the Crushed Dark Ruby finish.

It looks good. I didn't think I'd like it (going on Ibanez' own stock pics) but having seen other pics it looks better than I imagined.

go to a store and try both of them. then buy the one you like.
actually seeing as you had an rga121 all you should do is try an eclipse and go from there
