Honestly, are you not getting enough oxygen to the brain here?

Elcid is wrong by posting that, the guy has already said the guitar he wants, he cant try since its on Auction and miles away.

Secondly, you keep complaining because he ignored your advice in previous threads, he's asking a sensible question here, albeit dragging it out a little, if you just want to post to take the piss and keep bringing up the fact he made a bunch of posts before, why bother.

Its just not constructive.

On point, I personally would take the RGT220a, i've only tried it once but i really liked the neck through and the ash seemed to have pleanty of bite.

If your going to be tuning around alot a floating trem probably isnt the best idea, if you can get a good deal for the RGA321 with the modded pickups i'd grab it. If you dont like the pickups you could probably sell them and make most of the cash you needed to get the pair of your choice assuming they're in good condition.

If your buying new go to Rich, the reputation of his setups is well known.

what's so hotrod about this RGA321 i keep hearing about??

and if you sold your 121 you'll probably sell the 321 because it's basically the same guitar only with dmz/ibz pups, which you could have easily had put into the 121 (or even better, real full blooded dimarzios, instead of ibanez halfbreeds)
+ a nicer(to some) finish...

+1 on the RGT220a, i've only seen pics but it's got a nice bootay

Thanks alot Eco. I appreciate your advice. Umm..the RGA321 was a custom modded with Seymour Duncan Distortion in Br. and 59 in neck with a toggleswitch. It had the tone knob taken away. SO yea.

Re: RG2570 EVSL RGA321F(custom) RGT220A RG2550 ESP Eclipse

Duncan Distortion aint that good, it sounded like bees in my 7620 and i guess it would sound too bright and bee-like in a mapled topped RG also. (but that's just my taste)

Ki swordsman: the looks. it's why you pay 400$ extra to PRS for the birdies inlays, which i personally dont like and would never pay.

i would and i had paid for the 321 500$ extra, and now i have nice tiny abalone inlays (Which make the non-offset dots(that i hate) look a bit classier), and a nice thick flamed maple top with a blue finish that i absolutely adore.
you know, whats on a RFR or DY over a black RG550 if you're not a neon fan? :P
so, because i'm not blind and i like the way my guitar looks, i consequently enjoy playing it more, because on the moments i look down on what i'm touching i feel blessed.
that's my explanation.
and i'd like to think they use a tad better wood on them (yeah iknow.)
BUT the rosewood on my RGA321 is darker/prettier than on all RG2550's ive tried yet. :P

This isn't some petty revenge because he didn't read my posts, I'm just pointing it out to the less informed that giving any advice here is utterly useless

Actually listen to some advice from somebody, or better yet play something yourself and stop asking. You've gotten more than enough information in all of your threads, yet they continue on....

You guys stayed entertained for awhile last night I see.

Those are all good guitars so you couldn't go wrong any way you went, they are just completely different animals from each other.

How drastic of tuning changes are you talking about?

It wont happen again.
It's annoying when you're the 2051st person to ask it, search the forum before you start a thread. There's nothing you can ask that hasn't been asked and answered a million times before.

I play in standard tuning, drop d, half step down, C# and drop C. Thats it.

Re: RG2570 EVSL RGA321F(custom) RGT220A RG2550 ESP Eclipse

man, that's alot of tunings. isn't it easier to use a pitch shifter in winamp to play along so many different bands?
i mean, if you were a pro like petrucci and used gasillion tunings you'd probably have 10 guitars and each one tuned differently.
just a tip, dont want to be rude you know, so you wont need to retune everytime you play a different song
