Rg2620 vs RG2570, RG2550

Ive been looking and the only difference i can find (other than the finish) is the single coil in the 2570 and 2550. Why is the 2620 240$ more expensive?

Re: Rg2620 vs RG2570, RG2550

ok quick answer.... rg2550 has pickups on the scratchplate, the 2570 is direct mount(some say sounds better) and the 2620 im guessing you pay for the finish.

personaly i would go with the 2550 but then i like them (like the older one better its got the slimmer neck profile)

unless your in australia where for some reason they say its still got the slimmer neck. it hasnt got the slimmer neck im told by others, its now the same specs as the jem

Damnit. I liked the 2620. But im not paying extra for a finish. and there are better guitars in that price range

well im still looking for what to buy. If im gonna spend 1120$ on a guitar, id rather buy the ESP M-II. Or save up a bit and get an even better guitar

RG2570 would be my choice but I hate the silver finish and RG2620 is also nice but I hate that cube finish too so I would take RG2550.

Re: Rg2620 vs RG2570, RG2550

The 2570 has the shark fin inlays and the 2550 hasn't got direct mounted pups (i.e. it has a pickguard) The textured two tone finish of the 2620 is the main difference, which is mainly done by hand and it has body binding also. The UK recommended price is £100 more for the 2620, but in store it's about £50 more.

Question

Re: Rg2620 vs RG2570, RG2550

Just looked on the Hoshino parts list and the neck for the RG2620 is unique to that guitar ??? It uses the same fret wire as the others. The only things I can think of is it because it has mother of pearl fret dots, or is it that the Ibanez logo is abalone/m.o.p. on the headstock and the others aren't or both ??? The 2550 and 1570 necks are the same part number btw.

Re: Rg2620 vs RG2570, RG2550

Here is a true answer to the rg2620......

The rg2620 body is not glossy, so no finger prints. and the designs are ridgity if you feel on the body. Same with the headstock same with all the logos made with abolone, and except that the rg2620 headstock has fingerprint recistence (forgot spelling sorry). Thats the only true thing, and has only H-H system and thats it. Its not worth it really except ur a fingerprint *****....

Re: Rg2620 vs RG2570, RG2550

The answer: buy the RG2570 and the RG2550 and put the RG2570 neck on the RG2550 and sell the other parts on the bay.

i got myself a 2550e over a 2570, dont know if the 2570 had the pups direct mounted on the body but the 2550e sounded good, great and excellent to me !!
