RG302Q vs RG3120

Hi

Sorry....I meant RGT320Q vs 3120 (for some reason it´s not possible to edit)

Does anyone have both? and what´s the sound difference? Is the neck through bright in the sound or?

If you have A/B´ed them please tell

Re: RG302Q vs RG3120

Depends on what year 3120, if the new ones, like the 320Q, the 3120's have more bite, click, actually more hotter, distorted, aggressive, like a snap sound compared to the 320, wich is more smooth, warm, less aggresive, but with a nice snap and bite, just not as much, you can hear and feel the difference when switching back and forth. It's all a preference, both are pretty nice actually.
Good luck,
Andres

Re: RG302Q vs RG3120

Well I if it should be a fair comparison, it should be the new RG3120 as well, cause the have the same pickups (don´t they).

So comparing it to the PAF PRO / TONE ZONE would be wrong I guess.

What I´m very interested in is, if the sound character is very different or not with the maple trough instead of bolt on......

Re: RG302Q vs RG3120

i have the 320Q and love it but the stock pickups didn't do it for me. I swapped em out for a PAF Joe and Tone zone. I haven't played a 3120.

Re: RG302Q vs RG3120

I've played both and own an RTG320Q.. Both are excellent instruments.. I thought the RGT3120s neck was more barrel like (rounder) than the RGT320s.. Neither neck is all that thin IMO when comparing to my Prestige 1550.
