Rg3120
hey guys sorta new here but been reading alot here, but i can get a rg3120 for $600 and i really want one but i need some reasons not to get because money is a problem and just wondering if i should save for something better or if it is a good deal should i go ahead and get it.
it comes with a bill lawrence 500xl in the bridge
and a paf in the neck and he change the pu switch to 3way.
what do you guys think?
the problem is ill have to sell 2 guitars to get one and the guitars id have to sale are an ibanez s470-zr trem, and a
jackson dinky
pro
reverse headstock
- with an floyd rose original.
thanks guys.

Re: Rg3120
Take pictures of the S470 and
Jackson guitars
. Put them up for sale on e-bay. IMMEDIATELY. Proceed to buy the RG3120.
By the way, what color is the 3120?

Re: Rg3120
$600 is a GREAT deal. I got mine(an '01) for $640 and i'm still kicking myself in the head after seeing ones on the bay go for around $800 in worse shape than mine. Please keep us updated on how it goes.

You could possibly get more for the jackson by parting it out. I dont know what jackson parts are going for these days though.

Doesn't make sense at all. That guitar should be above 800 in a GC.
600USD seems like a very good deal. Its a very good guitar, you wont miss the S470 or the Jackson

here it is.
all I had to do was:
steel wool
frets,
clean
fret board
,
adjust trem posts and lock them,
tighten whammy bar collar
I still need to decide on a strap and straplock system

Re: Rg3120
Great guitar.
How does it play? And, has anyone noticed that the pre-2003 models were much darker? I have a 2003 RG3120 (pictured below). Compared to guitarslinger's, mine looks almost like a light green, rather than a dark blue. What's up with that?

it plays great. It's not quite up with my desert yellow yet. I need to find my
truss rod wrench
.
mine is a 2000. that is weird about the colour. It's much different.

Re: Rg3120
Yeah, and the weird thing is that it actually looks even lighter than that ^^^ in person.
