RG3120 Truss Rod Question

So finally, got my first Presitge ever [a post glorifying my guitar will soon follow haha ]

Anyhow, I was inspecting my guitar and I noticed that it stuck out a bit and that there was no possible way in which I could put a wrench in there. Could this perhaps be a cover of some sort or is there another way to adjusting it?

you need a specific wrench for these, dont worry they can be adjusted\
you can buy them online

Re: RG3120 Truss Rod Question

I also have an RG3120 that happens to need a truss rod adjustment. Basically you need a 7mm deep (but thin) walled socket type wrench. Do you have an Allparts.com over there? If so, you can buy one from there. See my thread about truss rod wrench size on the Tech section (should be currently near the top).

Re: RG3120 Truss Rod Question

When I got my used 1570 I too needed a truss rod wrench. Low and behold my local GC had one in a box of just misc. parts back behind the counter and they just let me have it seeing how they had a few of them. Wouldn't hurt to give it a shot.

Did they rob your hardcase, too? I believe they ship the wrenches along with the guitar and the case. The tool followed with my RGA121.

yea if you get the case you get all the needed tools, but at guitar center they should give to you if you ask

Re: RG3120 Truss Rod Question

I did not get my used 1570 from GC and besides my 1570 is an '04 in silver so I don't think that they came with a case standard until '05
