RG3120TW

I went to my local SAMmy ASHy to get some strings and I was poking around and come across a used RG3120TW. I checked it out. A few nicks here and there, but in overall good condition. I can fix the little nicks. Plays great, straight neck, sounds awesome. So I picked it up for $400. Came with an M100 case.

Deal or was I robbed?

This was in OC (Orange County). I think I just stumbled across this and they really didn't know what they had. Now they have an RG of some sort that they are saying is a JPM100....but there are no graphics....all blue! Solid guitar, though.

the the 3120 a neck thru? i'm not a fan of neck thrus, good sustain and all that, but if something happens to the neck, there goes the 1200 dollar guitar, or in your case 400

I think he means the RG3120 which is a bolt-on...not the RGT3120

Yup, RG, not RGT.

The 570/UV1000 isn't a bad deal either ;-)

Way to go, Eddie. Great deal! I recently picked up a near mint 570 w/case + DS-1 for $230 out the door. It's more fun when the deals are sweet.

Being Dutch just makes me love Orange County (it's founded by people from the Netherlands )...

I am still considering buying a NEW one here for about $1300 , imagine the deal you made

I am wondering how many collectors there are around here with multiple Ibanez blue flametops, that's the direction my collection is going anyway

Well, I added a nice chip, all the way to the wood, on this guitar. About the size of a dime on the back edge of the upper horn. Being I bought this used, it already had some marks and scrathes, so I wasn't too bothered, but this is the first to go all the way through the finish. What surprised me, is how easily it chipped. I was noodling in my room, and it barely hit the arm of a chair. Must have hit just right, because I have hit a many guitars harder than this with MUCH less damage.

So, with all these markings, and my not-so-in-favor of this particular blue finish...I am going to strip it and refinish it. I will take pics of the before and then, of course, the after shots.
