Re: RGA Users Unite!

Is the RGA121 with the natural maple finish going to be available in 2007? I was also wondering if they come with gotoh tuners like the other prestige series RG's. . .

Yes, they have the same Gotoh tuners as the other Prestige RG's.

Re: RGA Users Unite!

AWESOME guitars. Simple, elegant, well built. I sold mine. I hate Wizard necks nowadays. My hands cramp on them. It's been replaced by a lower RG321 with the Wiz2 neck. Deft not the same, but Ibanez needs to offer this guitar with a nice thcik chunky neck to match it's toneful body!

Re: RGA Users Unite!

Hey I read on another thread that higher guage strings can be a problem with the Gibraltar II bridge that comes standard on the RGA121 - I play a GHS Zakk wylde set - they're insane - 10-60 - but the lowest I'd go is a set of 10-52. Any problems there?

Re: RGA Users Unite!

The bridges that come on the RGA121's are the Gibraltar Plus bridges, not the Gibraltar II's. Also, you shouldnt have any problems with those strings, i use 10's and have used 11's and they were fine. Although i have heard of it being rather difficult to feed some bigger gauge strings through the back of the bridge, but i personally havent had that problem. Definetely check out the RGA's they are rock solid guitars with amazingly resonant tone!

Re: RGA Users Unite!

I have a RGA121vlf. It is the best rg ever. (this is in comparison to my old RG570 and my not so old RG2550).

I'm swapping the pups for an evo and a paf pro in the cream/off white finish!!

Re: RGA Users Unite!

I'm having one delivered to my door within the next few days (my first Prestige). It's a new color too... Crashed Deep Ocean (it's a Canadian-market color, I live in Toronto). I'll post pics as soon as it arrives.

Cheers.
