Re: RGA Users Unite!

If anyone is selling one of these (121 of any color or even 321) can you PM me. I want one of these so much and can't find used ones anywhere (I'd rather not pay full retail price).

Re: RGA Users Unite!

I love my RGA121 natural. I swapped out the electronics for a set of Seymour Duncan Phat Cats and a 3-way. I love it. Very Solid.

Re: RGA Users Unite!

I just scored a use RGA 121 in violin for $395. I couldn't pass it up at that price. I already have the 321, and the build quality is great on these guitars. I do wish the neck was a little thicker though.

Ignore this (not that anyone was paying attention to it). Due to a thread in one of this sites other forums I found a site that sells RGA121s for a ridiculously cheap, new, price and BAM! That baby is mine. Now I too am part of the RGA world take over!

Re: RGA Users Unite!

Hey, does anyone know which pre-wired RS GuitarWorks kit works with the RGA121?

Here's the link to the site: www.rsguitarworks.net/rsstore

I saw an RGA121 on **** (the place where people auction stuff... like a bay of electronic trading, if you will) once that had one of these electronics upgrade kits installed in it and I want one too but I don't know which one I need to get.

Re: RGA Users Unite!

None of RS's pre-wired kits are a "direct fit" for our RGAs.

You could just buy the parts from them and wire it up together --
all you need are: 2 500k audio taper pots for volume and tone, 1 5-way switch (strat style), 1 jack, and 1 hovland musicap (.022mf)...
As far as i know they don't sell a treble bleed cap, so you can just re-use the existing 330pf cap.

Hey, thanks. Though, aren't you supposed to use linear taper pots for tone? I thought the whole point of audio taper was to correct the way your ears interpret changes in volume (which is not a linear pattern).

Anyway, I'll look into those parts!

Re: RGA Users Unite!

I thought the no longer being made RG3120 was the trem version of the RGA321? It's exactly the same in every other way (thought the blue color is a lot lighter than the RGA321's color).
