RGA121 Prestige vs RGT220 Prestige

i recently bought a neck-through RGT220H SOL. i love the guitar, it became my main axe for now; very punchy, very clear attack, very balanced overall and just great. now, being under this very favourable impression from ibanez guitars, i'm looking to sell my hot-rodded US Strat and replace with an RGA 121 in violin flat.

The question is, is RGA prestige comparable in quality and tone-wise to an RGT? Idon't have any RGAs around to try. I am looking for similar, punchy and clear tone, may be just a little warmer and softer, but still that neck through RG ass-kicking tone.

i recently also tried an RG550 for mid-eighties, it was noticeably less "fun" then RGT

I play metal, my rig is Mesa TriAxis - Mesa 2:50 - 2 Marshall cabs

the quality will be the same, and well, a bolt-on does not sound the same as a neck through, play the rga at your local store, they´re awesome guitars

aint got no stores around that have rgas, unfortunately

generally, bolt-on's are crunchier and less warm than neck-thru's, but every guitar is it's own beast.

What? The "A" in RGA stands for "Arch," they have carved tops. There's no such thing as a flat-top RGA.

The "flat" there refers to the finish, as in "not glossy."

well, good news. i might consider the NTF version, then, too. More options = good.

No problem. I've only seen photos of RGAs, never seen one in person. I'm kinda afraid to because I think I would really want one and I can't afford more GAS!
