RGR 1570 Prestige

This is awsome, I am completely in love with this guitar!!! This is a very metal looking axe, this has got to be one of the better looking guitars Ibanez has done in a while. When I get my finances get bacl to normal I am definately buying one of these, will change the pickups though of course.

http://www.ibanez.com/eg/guitar.aspx?m=RGR1570

What you guys think about it?

thanks, Josh

Ummm..... ok..... I guess I am the only person so far excited about a reverse headstock prestige model. Didnt see anything interesting @ Jackson though.

Re: RGR 1570 Prestige

Not much to get excited about really. It is just a 1570 with a reverse headstock.

What else has Ibanez released at this NAMM?

Re: RGR 1570 Prestige

I take it none of you guys are metal players then, I know I have seen several posts on Jemsite about people wanting a reverse headstock in a high end, now we have it. Seriously, nobody likes this? What a waste.

Re: RGR 1570 Prestige

let's hope this guitar is a much better "player" than the 2610... didn't like the neck shape but still a nice guitar for the 'simple yet sophisticated metalhead'
in essence, it's about time the x570 series get a reverse headstock treatment... it's this or finding a 565 or a 540P...

Re: RGR 1570 Prestige

I am hopefully getting a 2610 here soon on a trade, I will of course gut the pickup, not sure exactly what I want to go with yet though. Cant wait to get one though.

Don't take my post too seriously. I'm glad the Ibanez is stretching their RG product line further, but they need to seriously revise their colour offering and among other things (hence the reference to Jackson). In fact, my first Jackson is on order in spite of the fact that I love my RGA121.

Cheers

Re: RGR 1570 Prestige

I agree strongly that Ibanez lacks color choices as well as other things. But, ever since I got my first Jem I will never go back to US guitars. I am a diehard and will stick with them till the end, unless they sold out to Fender

Re: RGR 1570 Prestige

I am stoked for the new RGR1570, I have always wanted to get a Japanese made RG with reversed headstock, I wish it had a maple fretboard option though =)

That would be killer if they had that option.

US/North American guitars are second-rate you say? Don't kid yourself.
I'll take my Lado Earth over ANY Ibanez.

I have a PERSONAL PREFERENCE, which we are all entitled to as to which guitars we prefer to play. It is my PERSONAL PREFERENCE, to play high end Jap guitars. I feel like I get a killer, quality instrument every time I get a new Ibanez, as do alot of people in here. Dont be arrogant just because you think your guitar is better than mine, your guitar is prolly nice, but I am very satisfied playing my Ibanez. That is all that should matter to any guitar player.

Cheers
