RGT3120 Lots for sale lately, why?

I kinda thought the RGT3120 wouldn't have sold in big numbers because of the price but I have seen quite a few of them lately on Ebay. Is there some quality control issues with these guitars or something? Just kinda curious.

BTW, I saw one of our own grab one off ebay for less than $700.00 I believe. I'll let him show himself if we wants to.

I kind of wondered that myself - although $700? I'd like to have one. From a quality POV I don't think there's any issue, they're nice guitars. The neck may be a bit too "ultra" for some is the only issue I can think of.

Hey Mark,

I'm the guy that sold you the 3120TW down in Owings Mills MD. How ya doin bro?

I like the ultra necks but maybe you're right. Most of the ibbys have had thinner necks.

Brian, right? Hey man! I was playing that guitar over the weekend (it's my brother-in-law's now).

I like the ultras too - there's that and the gloss finish on the back of the neck on those, which I'd sand right off.

It took me ALONG time to get use to the RGT3120. My main guitar prior to the RGT was a VWH. I was constantly adjusting the bridge angle and action on the RGT. I have finally set the RGT up properly (at least to me) and I love it. I will say that it has a complete different feel than the VWH. I still play the VWH, but that RGT has such incredible sustain I always find myself grabbing that guitar. Maybe people that bought the RGT were expecting something that plays like the VWH.
Out,
Gregory

I had the rgt 3120 and thought the neck was bigger than a wizard but definitely not huge. For me, thin necks usually equate to less tone so the ultra neck is jsut fine.Plus no freakin scarf joint to ever worry about.

I had zero quality issues with the RGT 3120. However if I had to guess why there are so many for sale, I'd say because the economy kind of stinks and guys are selling their gear for money to pay bills
