RGT320 vs RGT3020

Hi guys, ive posted before regarding ibanez choices, but i think i have narrowed it down to these 2 guitars. The 320 having a much heftier price tag of course, but the top is so gorgeous!

Im wondering whether would it be worth it to spend the extra cash to get the 320, or should i just stick with the 3020, considering it has Original Dimarzios as well. Which would you pick?

Play both and decide. The necks on the two are supposed to be different so pick which ever one plays better.

The Ultra neck on the 3020 is chunkier than the thin Wizard of the 320. The IBZ pickups aren't bad at all IMO, Ibanez just wanted to save costs by standardising everything. I'd get the 3020, seeing as they come with PAF Pros, and it's cheaper. You won't get the nice J-Craft case though.

Cosmetic wise, the position of the inlays could also be a factor. The 3020 has nice offset dot inlays, whereas the the 320 has regular but smaller (nicer) dot inlays.

As budd said, play both and decide which is best for you.

I would probably go with RGT3020, I like it's more ''vintage'' style tones and it looks better in my opinion mainly because I don't like that ''you can see the neck thru on the top'' thing on RGT320. Yeah, and RGT3020 is little bit cheaper. But in the other hand I like Wizard neck more than Ultra and neck finish on RGT3020 wasn't really for me, it's up to you.

Hey guys, sorry to revive this thread but it's pretty much my dilemma to, except that it's in 2009, and as such, I found a place selling for the same exact price:

RGT3020QM (DiMarzio PAF Pros, Edge Pro Bridge and ultra neck on a blue body)
RGT320Z (DiMarzio / Ibz, Edge Zero and a color they call wet rose).

Have you guys seen live one of these wet rose models ? On the Ibanez website it looks way too pink for my liking i.e. http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/eg_...=&series_id=51
But I have a feeling that live it might be darker and better looking...

Also the Edge Zero is a newer tremolo however as far as I know you can't set up a Tremol-no in it which I was planning to for bridge versatility (possible to fully lock down the bridge if at some point I want to do some C# tunings without too much hassle)

Pickup wise the RGT3020 is also better... the RGT320Z would probably need a pickup replacement...

Which one would you guys go for, assuming that the base cost is the same ?

RGT3020QM for me. I prefer the pups and the bridge on that model.
