RG"texas prestige" to vine or not to vine?

I did a little experiment and put a jem 7vwh neck on my purple "texas prestige".(pics of this guitar can be found on page 7 under the topic "unidentified maple topped object",thanks to kevan).Anyway,I'm considering getting an abalone vine put on the prestige neck or the part abalone, mop vine.Am I sick?or do I have good taste?Tough decision,to vine or not to vine?Any feedback welcome. Great guitar. Vines always look cool, but that guitar already has more MOP that I could handle. Also, it's a pricey investment. But if you want it, you only go around once in life!

You are right,it is a pricy investment, thats why I thought I would get some opinions. If the guitar didn't have the abalone around the body I wouldn't even consider it,but it seems like somethings missing(maybe my mind).Thats what I get for experimenting

I don't doubt that would look sweet, but given the relative rarity of that axe I'd be afraid to do it.

I mean, I bet my RG-ART would look killer with purple mirrored pyramids all the way along the fretboard, but it'd be a cold day in hades before I sent it off to be modded!

I'll tell you what to do. Buy an RG3120 and have them vine that and even add some headstock binding...I'd love to see what that looks like!

Kind of funny you should mention that, since I have a red and a blue 3120.Been thinking of a vine on one and pyramids on the other.I can't think of anything original to go on them.I'll put the 7vwh neck on one and see how it looks.

Now a vine on a 3120 is indeed a cool idea!...you might end up under a grand for a sweet & unique ride.

Well I put the jem7 neck on the blue 3120 and I think it might look better with pyramids. Then I put it on the red 3120 and I think it might look better with pyramidsChoices, choices! Maybe red and blue pyramids, colored vines, pyramids w/vines growing up the sides(this site has forever changed me)
