S2170SE or RG2670Z? I bought the S!

Oh I have such anxiety over this decision. I have tried them both and I like them both.
The one is not really better than the other, just different. I live in Sweden and prices on guitars here are high so please don't tell me, "oh, you can get this and that model for that kind of money", importing to Sweden with customs and taxes is just as expensive.

The S2170SE feels really good with the slimmer body and it looks great, but it's made in Korea and that discourages me a little bit. I can buy this used but in mint condition for about 1500USD. Price for a new one in Sweden is about 2165USD.

The RG2670Z has a neck that feels better and has 24 frets when S2170 only has 22. The body feels a bit clumsy though. The Edge-Zero bridge feels a little bit better than the ZR Bridge on S2170. Not easy finding information about this guitar. It seems like an RG2570Z but with matching color body/head!? Price new = 1667USD lowered from 1950USD.

I know this is the kind of thread that will receive answers like, "It's really up to you, buy the one you like the best". I think I will be satisfied with either of them but I just can't choose. Please help me with any input at all.

PS.
The guitar I really would like to have is the RG8420, but importing one of those to Sweden from Japan is really expensive. Price lands on about 2900USD inkluding shipment, customs and taxes.

Thumbs up

Re: S2170SE or RG2670Z?

The prices here in the UK are just as crazy !!! My vote's for the RG, even on looks alone. Not mad on the inlays, but that's all. The pups are quite bright and may need raising up a bit to get the best tone out of them.

I've been playing 24-fret guitars for so long (since the early 80s), I wouldn't know what to do with just 22 frets. Go with the RG!

Re: S2170SE or RG2670Z?

Three votes for the RG but I bought the S!

I'm thinking like this, that there are alot more RG guitars on the used market and easy to find in mint. S-Prestige is not so easy to find. So I bought the S now and I will buy a RG later so I have both.

Here are some pics.

Re: S2170SE or RG2670Z?

It's funny because I was about to buy the RG2670Z before I saw the RG2450MZ. I just loved the overall look of the 2670Z. I really feel it has the 90's heritage in it.
And by the way I definitely love the Edge Zero.
