S470 vs RG1570

So that's it, I need to buy a new axe and I like the S bodys and I'm very curious about trying a ZR bridge. I can't afford a S prestige, but I can buy a Prestige RG1570 and I don't know what to do..

I know a prestige axe must be better, but is worth the extra money?
Is better the ZR than the Edge Pro?
What do you think?
Help me!!

As far as ZR vs EP
I'd say edge pro, but they're not so much good or bad, but they're different. the ZR uses ball bearings.
And as far as the difference with the quality, i'd say that its comparable to the way fenders are.
The 1570 is japanese.
Imagine the rg 1570 being an american standard guitar, where as the S is like a high end mexican guitar. Overall, the wood quality and build quality of the RG 1570 *should* be better.

Re: S470 vs RG1570

I would recommend the 1570, but i'm a bit biased 'cause I own one and love it.

I've played the S470, and it's a nice guitar, but I think the Prestige 1570 is the best value for $ guitar in it's pricerange.

That being said, you really want to try them yourself if possible.

Rock on!

Seriously, dude, the 1570 is awesome. You won't be even slightly disappointed with it. I guarentee you'd prefer it over the 470. The neck is wonderful.

Prestige Neck > Pretty much every other neck I've played

J-Custom Profile Wizard Neck > Wizard Prestige Neck > New Prestige Neck (slightly thicker, 19.5 at nut not 17 like old wizards)> Pretty much every other neck I've played

Re: S470 vs RG1570

I'm from Mexico. They have the s470 in stock here is around $620, but they don't have the RG1570 so I have to order it, the will tell me how much it will cost tomorrow.. I hope the price don't get too big, maybe $800-900...

I know the prestige has to be better, the only thing that holds me is that I already have a non prestige RG (RG350), I like the wizard II, I like the S body more, I'm really curious about the ZR, it's easier to setup, and I think the S has more potential for being more versatile (with pickup change) than the RG.. but if the quality and playability is so much better I'll go with the 1570 with no doubt

I'll tell you the price of the S tomorrow...

P.S.
If you think one of my statements is wrong tell me!!

Re: S470 vs RG1570

I´m from Mexico too, I got mine from veerkamp, It was really expensive compared to what its worth in the US but I got to try every single 1570 so that i could choose the best one for me. I paid around $950 ($10500 pesos) and I´m really happy with it, I know that for that amount of money I could have chosen among many different guitars, but the 1570 just feels perfect to me

Re: S470 vs RG1570

I had to order my 1570 from a Guitar Center (I know I know.. but I didn't had very much options) in Texas. It has been one week and hasn't arrived yet

I'm frustrated because I really want to play my new guitar..
why takes them so much for shipping?
Anyway..

Probably more the stores fault than the actual shipping. When I worked at a store the owner would always tell people whatever he ordered for them would be a week, but it didnt make much sense to just order one thing so it would usually have to wait until it was worth it for him to place a big order. Shtty thing to do, but probably what the case was.

Re: S470 vs RG1570

2 weeks and still no guitar... I wasted almost 15 minutes only to ask if my guitar was arrived. It's starting to piss me of..
