s520ex or rg1570?

I am really confused. Which one should I go off? I prefered almost on everything on s520ex but rg1570 is a prestige and come with a really cool hardcase! I could get a s520 for about 550, and around 700 for rg1570.

Simple, the 1570 is a made in japan Prestige guitar, the S520 is Korean, every made in Korea Ibanez guitar I've boungt in ther past 2 years has gone back to the suppliers to be exchanged for a more expensive Prestige alternative. In my (unlucky maybe? but 4 guitars?) experience the Korean necks have been total crap, so have the pickups, where as the Jap necks have been superb and pickups not too bad at all!

I would go for the MIJ 1570. If you really want an S, maybe look for a S/H older one when the S Series ruled?

Not all Koreans are bad. My main guitar right now is an RGT42 and it is great! I tried a couple S520's and they are not too bad. Try them out if you can.

Yeah, some Korean built geetars are fine, but the MIJ are without a doubt more consistently good.

Whichever plays better is the best answer..
Their both good guitars with quality parts. I would choose the S520 because the body style is so much more comfortable to me. And the mahogany is a plus for me aswell. You should get the 520 and spend the money saved on a good set of dimarzios.

i don't mean to be rude, but it seems that all you post is anti-anything-not-wizard-on-japanese-models-(preferably sabers). that's fine and all, but you should at least try to be on topic about it..

to the OP: i say go for the 1570. the s520 + a nice new case would be at least around $650, and at that point, you would get a whole lot more guitar for only a little bit of extra money by getting the 1570. a no brainer, imo, unless you REALLY want the claw inlay or H/H config..

i understand (and agree with you) about the original wizard and such, i just always get the feeling of a troll when you talk about the neck (especially sabers! lol)

ok im seriously pissed now. I ordered rg2550 on the 1st of jan, they promised to send the guitar the latest by today and I was so eagerly waiting for it to arrive but only to see a email on today telling me they have no stock, they didnt even bother to call me It might not be their fault, but im seriously pissed with them
