Steal of the Century? You Decide...
I just picked up this sweet pretty much unplayed RG 1570L
with
a mint lefty molded J-craft case for $388, even came with the j-craft baggy with arm,
truss rod wrench
, and
allen wrenches
. Not a ding on it, no fret wear, it just sat for a while. I told the guy at Daddy's I feel dirty buying it for this much, I mean the case alone is like $150 if you can even find the Lefty version.
Down side is its not for me, its for a friend, I promised her I would find her the best guitar for the lowest amount of money, and I'll be damned, I think I just pulled that off...
And now starting the Rich treatment...(note tape on pickups to prevent steel wool from getting in the pickups)

Sweet deal Robb. How about getting your friend the second best guitar for the second lowest amount of money? You know you want to.

Re: Steal of the Century? You Decide...
Nah, I can't do that to her, I don't need the guitar anyways, I have a super rare 3120L. I wouldn't mind running off with the case though...

Robb, 4 screws, pull the neck off
Was it used? A return? Or are stores today just bent on loosing $200+? Or are you just that personable you could talk an Eskimo into a snowmaker?

Yeah, it was marked as used, but my god, I know no played this guitar, hardly any pick swirls (your average from sitting in a store), not a ding in sight, and the case doesn't even have a scratch on it, they could have marked it as new and no one would have known the wiser. It was even marked at $699 used...

Selling used as new is unethical at best. You'll still find integrity in this business and it's good to see. [Besides, when the customer sends in the warranty card on one that's previously been registered the cat is out of the bag]
