I love it!!!!!!! What Dimarzio pickups are these Dimarzio/IBZ pickups similar to? http://www.ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.asp?model=RG2570E

It's silver and has sharkfin inlays on a rosewood fretboard. That web site will actually tell you a lot more about it.

That was a lame read actually. Lots of fanboys.

And the Ibz pickups that Dimarzio makes for them are of lower quality when it comes to comparing them to the normal pickups Dimarzio makes. Which makes them less expensive to Ibanez. For example, the conductor wiring isn't as good, the metal used for the plates are cheaper, etc.

So Ibanez pickups are just cheaper, generic versions of the better made Dimarzios.

I couldn't tell you about conducters and wiring and all that, however I did switch them out immediately upon getting my RG2550. They sounded tinny and cheap to me.

What did you switch them to? I like the TZ and EVO 2 myself. I do like the stock neck pickup though.

As I stated recently in another thread, I use PAF Pros in the neck, and a TZ in the bridge. I just find that the IBZ's are rarely hot enough for my tastes. The low output just doesn't cut it.

I think a lot of people find it stupid of Ibanez to use those pups to begin with, but the fact is that they are still decent pickups. Trying to satisfy everyone is almost impossible to do, especially since pup combos are such a personal thing.
