The new FR2620NT are cool.
The new FR2620NT are cool.
I thought I should share some pics of the new (almost, here in Sweden at least).
I think it is a great looking guitar and I have completely fallen in love with this model.
The pickups have been changed to Breed neck and bridge and the ugly pickguard have been removed (I have done that on all my FR’s), the tuners have been changed to Planet Waves locking tuners and the finish on the back of the neck has been removed (and oiled and vaxed). It really plays like a dream and sounds like a dream.
I think it is an either love it or hate it looking guitar.
Also got this little baby, but it is missing a string and are tuned very low.
Strange guitar… :-) Everybody needs a bas.

That looks so much better without the pickguard.
Damn, I want one.

You do love your FR's!!!
I bit the bullet and grabbed one for inventory, Anuj, get ahold of me if you're serious
I agree about the pickguard, and I like the grain on yours better, but yours has a lot more "distressed" looking mineral spots in the wood.

Yeah, I do love those FR's.
I really like those little cross looking dark things in the wood.
Yours looks nice too!
What do you think about it?
I just think it is a beuitiful shape on a guitar (I also liked the Strafield that it comes from).
What I like the most is that it feels like an RG to play but looks so different, when doing session jobs do you get a “Mr shredmonster has arrived” when you pick up an RG but you don’t get that whit these. The RG just have such a metalshred stupid guitarhead image over it among many players and that just makes it look out of place in many situations.
I’m actually having a FR in mahogany/flamed maple top and a tremolo built right now.
I emerald green, it will be super (I hope).
I prefer mahogany to Ash in humbucker guitars.
But this one are my main instrument.

I knew what it was going to be, still an odd mix and why I was ambivalent about stocking one, but a Euro sample popped up at a good price so I grabbed it. I do like the DSB better, but it wasn't available!
4 of them? OK, you're way more addicited than I thought. Have you sought counseling?

It is custom built for me, a non existing model.
It is a marriage between a tele and an Ibanez, sort of like a telinez :-)
I wanted to play tele for some of the jobs I do because I love the sound of a good tele, but wanted it to feel Ibanez. So this is a tele sounding and tele looking guitar that feels exactly like an Ibanez to play (Ibanez neck, Ibanez all-access neck joint, shaped body and so on).
The hole guitar is just raw wood that has been oiled.
It has DiMarzio Area T pickups in it, so it is silent too.
This was the “love” that made me want it.
But this one has a massive neck (27mm at the first fret) which feels a bit strange for an Ibanez player.

No, the last one is not an FR.
But I will soon have four (one with trem).
Yes, it is a bit odd mix, like I said before, you either love it or hate it (I think).

awesome pics, thanks Magnus.
I really like the shape of those FRs, but to be honest, they appear more Turbot than Starfield to me. Maybe a bit of Talman as well...

Thanks!
Do you really think so?
In my opinion is it defiantly most similar to the Starfield Cabriolet model
