Thin E string on electric guitar keeps breaking ?

i have a brand new ibanez rg2570 from japan i got a week ago and its definately original (i can tell) . my thin e string keeps breaking FROM THE SADDLE. its equipped with an edge pro bridge.. the saddle doesn't have any kinks in it or anything and its not rusted a bit, its perfectly shaped.. but string KEEPS breaking from there everday! pls help

Hmm, that sucks. I have many-o-edge's and I can count on one hand how many strings I've broken in the last fifteen years. Check and see if there is still a tiny sliver of string left in the cavity. Maybe there just pulling out and the tiny block is worn. If not, something has to be either out of adjustment or putting undo stress on the string in that area. I'd say take it to a tech, but get one that knows these things, not all of them are versed in these trems.

It's possible that the saddle has become worn down and formed a sharp edge which is rubbing against the string

there's no other option then a sharp saddle edge; does it break exactly at the contact point?
otherwise, you must be yanking the trem bar up too much.

What brand/gauge strings are you using? Some are more susceptable to breaking in my experience.

I agree that it could be a burr on the saddle.
