to S5470tks or JS1000

So I'm having a gas attack and I'm on the fence with these two(three) guitars. Yes, the trem and necks are different but I'm fine with both, I think.

JS1000BP or S5470TKS (or JS1200CA $$)

They're both relatively the same price(considering a pick-up swap on the 5470). IMHO, the JS neck and body are SOOO comfortable. I've played a SV5470 and thought if felt good. I assume the S5470TKS will feel the same.

I've alway been an RG guy so this in new territory for me. Other than that, I'm really not sure why I'm on the fence. I thought I'd see what everyone has to say. What do you think?

Regards - TJC

Well how do you like the frets? RG's typically have jumbo frets and I think the S series too, whereas the JS have smaller ones. I prefer the smaller ones myself. Something to consider.

JS all the way. The S5470 has had some issues and there is no real way of knowing if they have been solved yet.

Not to mention the JS1000/1200 sound amazing.

moebius, I overlooked that difference. I have smaller frets (6105) on my other guitars. +1.

bulletbass man, I've been reading up on that. I want a player with no issues so that just may be why I'm sitting on the fence with it. The JS did sound warm and full compared to the SV and Prestige RG's I tried.

Well the JS has some of the most vocal pickups I've ever used so that gives it that really awesome tone. I haven't heard of any sustain issues on the SV. The SV is quite nice sounding as well and is extremely versatile.

Either way I prefer the JS to both the S and SV. However I'll take a S540LTD over pretty much any satch (hell you could buy two for the price of JS)

I agree and would love a S540LTD but you've got to find one(or two) first.
