trem arm question

hey, i have an edge pro trem system on my new rg1570. But the arm that it came with doesnt fit in it tight at all. It's barely being held in the socket, and it's extremely loose. It even wiggles around while in the socket. Is there any way to fix this? i've even tried other Ibanez whammy bars in it, and they are loose as well. Thanks

Re: trem arm question

change the bushings around the base of the arm or put some teflon tape there. Also if you can. check the arm holder and tighten the nut, sometimes it is the arm holder that is loose

Re: trem arm question

how to you tighten the holder itself? I think that might be it since the arm wiggles around when just sitting in the holder.

Re: trem arm question

is that located in the back of the guitar under the spring cover? Sorry, still pretty new to guitar, and esp floating trems.

Re: trem arm question

it is in the back of the trem, not in the springs cavity

it is the long barrel in the left of the picture

Re: trem arm question

i appreciate the picture, and i know what it is, i just don't know how to tighten it, is seems like it's a solid tube that can't be tighted. In the manual it talks about teflon rings that can be added or removed. But the whammy bar it showed in the manual looked different than the one i had. It came to a point, and mine is just flat. and there were no telflon rings on it. does anyone know what it's talking about?

You have the wrong trem arm then. It should be exactly as per the manual. It also explains why it's such a bad fit ! Go back to the dealer involved and kick their *ss !

Re: trem arm question

From your description, that sounds like the trem arm to an Edge Pro II, not an Edge Pro.

Re: trem arm question

This arm fits the Edge Pro

This pic shows the nut that tightens the arm holder against the base.

Re: trem arm question

i'm not sure how to post pictures, but here's a link to a picture of what my arm looks like: http://www.pierreschwartz.com/2EL2-C1B_1M_01.jpg

The one i actually have is more silvery than black, but it has the same end on it. Where would i be able to find one that comes to a point at the end?
