Re: trem guard wear?

Thats a problem that dates back along time, you dont see it in most pics because most people take their trem cover off or try to prevent it somehow.

Absolutely normal. My trem guard is scratched up like a proud owner of a hefty cat litter.

The only way to prevent this would be to remove it. I keep it off anyway, for convenience sake.

Yeah it can get annoying having to take it off when you sometimes have to make small adjustments.....and then some more....and so on

Easy fix...

Take your belt off.

Or wrap a small towel around the buckle. I've read somewhere about this dude writing on his day in some local (to his whereabouts) computer lab, and he did that to prevent scratching monitors that are located in the belt-height

Or something like that crap. Anyway, same idea applies here just as well

Re: trem guard wear?

On my JEM10 I removed the trem cover screws and slapped on a second trem cover and put the screws back in. Now I am wearing out a piece I can toss and the extra thickness slightly raises the guitar away from offending buttons on my shirts.
