Trying to remember...

Hey guys, long time lurker here deciding to break my silence because I need a little help...

I have been racking by brains and trawling japanese sites trying to find a particular J-custom that I saw a while ago and absolutely loved. All I remember is that it had a GORGEOUS black quilted maple top and I think it had H-H configuration. I also think it had either a plain or offset dot ebony fretboard. It came in two variations, one with gold hardware and the other had chrome. The guitars came into production around the end of last year or start of this year, and there was a thread on here about them which I've yet to succeed in finding.

I might be mistaken on one or two details because I'm just going from memory, but if anyone could come up with any suggestions I'd be so grateful.

AHA! After weeks of searching to no avail, I ask for help and find it right away

It was in fact the MRG-1 I was looking for. I had it confused with the later MRG guitars that came out more recently. Does anybody own one of these things? I'd love to see some pics and feedback on it, it's my ultimate dream guitar for sure.

You're not wrong. I would sell all the gear I have to get my mits on one of these!

Does anybody know how many have been made? Any info at all would be helpful.
