I have a USA custom coming soon and the logo is white and the USA custom is in white to the right of the Ibanez logo in small lettering.I beleive this to be a fairly early 90s USA custom.Standard neck joint(plate) Looks to be a fabric snake skin or maybe serpent graphic I don't know.The graphic is gold and the surrounding color is black(graphic is front and back)Wizard neck,rosewood board pearl dots no binding.Hum-single-hum layout no pickguard.DiMarzio pickups(black)
I'm new when it comes to Ibanez I've been a Jackson player for a long time.
I have had several RG 550s over the years and always used them for trading material.I currently have a 92 570 FM which I love to death and the USA custom coming soon.
If anyone has pics of the different logos that would be a big help in dating my USA custom Thanks

That's a 1991 Metal Design series.

thats a great guitar..they have different pickup figuration.mine have H-S-S.and sharkt theeth.the headstock logo's could be different.mine has only ibanez on it.SHOW PICTURES!!

Mine does not fit the charts exactly.When it comes in I will pull the neck and check the heel and neck pocket for info.It can be seen at willcuttguitars.com.search under Ibanez.Any info or opinions after looking at the pics let me know.

there is nothing special to see...just 750in the neck or 750/760 in the body.i have take a look.but its based on the 700 serie so thats what you can expect to see.

It's also likely you'll see the old code used on RG7xx and (P/R/S

Ok what does all that mean?I have no clue on Ibanez codes.Sorry for a dumb newbie question.
I know the Jackson codes pretty well just not the Ibanez codes.
I do thank you for all the help tho'
Oh yeah I have searched for threads on this subject and I'm drawing a big blank.

Because the USA Customs of that era where "made to oder" from a stock of necks, bodies, and pickups, it's more likely IMO that you'll find a code for what the neck is, rather than a model #. Chances are that you won't have the "T", and instead a "0" or "Z"(ero) for dots, if my hunch is correct.

maybe you can see the headstock code and made in japan.....and 750 in the neck pocket.that are great guitars...if you would know something...ask me..i have one..

I got the snake home today and man she plays great even with 8 year old strings.I changed the strings and gave her a set up and pickup tweak.
Really plays and sounds huge.
Info on the neck heel The red stamp letter "J" followed by the black ink stamp WALRJ-24.The neck pocket has in pen 849u and big ink stamp leters "METAL".
Pickups are DP 151 neck and bridge middle single has no sticker or numbers but has staggered polepieces wires look to be Dimarzio so just don't know for sure.
The body has 3-D neck plate with the N. Hollywood Ca. address.Neck plate is not angled and the body neck heel area is scalopped just like a Jackson dinky.
Fit and finish are perfect,neck has a little wear but That shows she's a player.
All in all a fantastic guitar.I got three offers for big dollars just trying to leave the store.Thanks for all your help guys.
