wave of high frequency

I folks, I've a question about my rg 2570.
body is in basswood with paf pro at neck and fred at bridge.
I connect guitar in a carvin legacy head and marshall 1960 cabinet.
the sound is full of high frequencyes.
for balancing can I change fred with breed pick up?

Um, have you tried turning down the presence and treble on the amp ?? Try turning the bass up and the gain down slightly too. That pup configuration should sound fine, but you need to tweak the amp by the sounds of things !!

Also, turn down the tone control on your guitar and roll your volume to find a sweet spot.

Re: wave of high frequency

i agree, your amp settings are probably the easiest thing to change to achieve the sound you are looking for as the amp is the biggest factor in your tone chain. i find that a lot of amps (although i have yet to play through a carvin amp) have a lot of high end available. if you are lucky, it's the smooth high end, but more often than not it can easily be the piercing high end. i will usually kill the presence and turn the treble down accordingly.

however, if your amp's eq and presence are not enough, then you may want to look into pickups with more enhanced bass & mid response. maybe a breed or tone zone.
