What can I use to block an edge pro so that it remains level?

And I don't mean a tremsetter or tremol-no. I've heard of people using erasers, but the edge pro on my RG2550 leans forward a bit when I use them. Anyone know of any objects that would do the trick?

A block of wood, cut to measurements. I had one in with my Strat.

+1

No point trying to find a household object that's just the right size to begin with.

Block of wood is the way to go. It's what I used on my first Ibanez when I had no idea had to deal with a trem.

Does that give any sustain benefits, blocking a trem off?

the EdgePro is a bit tricky to block if you want to do it properly (i.e. blocking it right on the very outer edge of the block, where the springs attach). that's the way i usually do it:

(dive-only - it's a LoPro, but pretty much the same on EdgePro)

(full-block)

i blocked an edge on my rg570 with a stack of coins taped up on one side and a few pieces of ice cream sticks stuck together on the other side. works fine.

i'd be careful about drilling holes in the guitar though.

Why not just adjust the springs? Works for me and you get up/down capability..

I think he meant why not adjust the springs so that it was setup properly instead of blocking it.

I once used a deck of cards behind the trem block and cut off the excess length.

Thats what I meant. Im under the assumption his trem is giving way to the tension of the strings..
