What is the best way to store my prestige?
Should I hang her by the neck?...
Put her on a stand?...
Or keep her laying in her case?...

Re: What is the best way to store my prestige?
I swear to god, the first thought I had was frozen carbonite..
But I can tell you that I keep my USA Custom in the case when the case is standing up and the guitar is as if held by someone. I'm probably wrong, but that would make less pressure on the springs with gravity and all, and will make it less go out of tune...
Now c'mon, I'm dumb about it, tell me I'm wrong
Basically, if you play it a lot, put it on a stand, if you live in the desert, keep it in the case so it won't get as much dust, etc etc

Re: What is the best way to store my prestige?
I have all mine hanging from the wall. It makes it easier to grab and play and I don't have to worry about neck warpage. Just don't leave it leaning against the wall or an amp. Case, stand, or hanging, either will work fine. I live in the Desert (AZ), and yes dust happens, but it wipes off easy so it's no biggie to me.

Definitely in the case, accidents may happen if you hang it, put her on a stand etc

Re: What is the best way to store my prestige?
I put it on an empty bed always and put a blanket over it when I'm not playing it, with the jack still plugged into her. So when I wanna play her, I will remove the blanket and I am ready for action.

Re: What is the best way to store my prestige?
i keep mine in their cases, only cause i'm sure it makes the strings last longer.
i would like them on my guitar stands on display, so i can just pick it up any time i wanna play but the strings always seem to rust in less than a week when i leave them out.

i hang my good 'uns by the neck.
they're pretty to look at, and it keeps them off the floor out of reach of my daughter and dog.

Best keeping it in the case... keeps it from getting dusty, stops the sunlight getting to it as well.

Sounds like you need a "dehumidifier" in your home. That would take out the excess moisture in the air and your strings wouldn't rust so fast. I live in the desert so I never have to deal with rusty strings.

Re: What is the best way to store my prestige?
If I kept my guitars in cases they wouldn't get played, I'm too lazy to dig the case from under the bed, open it and plug in the guitar every time I want to play. I've used both stands and wall-hangers in the past and haven't had problems with either.

I have all mine hanging on my wall like a
guitar shop
. Makes me feel more at home when I'm surrounded by guitars.

I keep my 2 players (E and Eb) on stands, and the rest in their cases.
