What kind of a range do USA custom's go for?

Assuming good condition what kind of a range would something like this go for(sorry for small pics, all I have)?
Also, in terms of quality, playability, how do these look compared with modern J customs?
Thanks!!

She's a beauty!!! Pretty rare too so $1600-2000 would be my guess depending on condition. If it is mint, a collector might go higher. How thick is the maple cap? I've only seen 1 of these on the bay in a few years.

Actually, those prices are about double what the market would support. The highest price I've seen for a UCEW1QM on the Bay was $1,525, back in 2005, and it was absolutely exquisite. The next highest was in June of 2006, and it went for $867. There's been a total of 9 turn up since 2005, with the majority being in the $650 to $850 range. If you consider ALL of the Exotic Wood series, the birdseye and flamed maples get a little bump, with the highest being a birdseye maple that sold last year for $995. Again, the range for the other UCEW's runs from about $500 to $900.

I'm not saying it CAN'T happen that someone would pay a premium price for the right guitar - it happens. And the USAC's are appreciating in value. I'm just saying that the average market prices are somewhat lower than quoted. Personally, I can see myself spending over a grand for the right UCEW, but then I have an addiction I'm trying to cope with.
