Just to throw a twist on things........There was also an H-S-H RGT3170 available in the Japanese market. It came in trans red, trans violet, and vintage violin. I think 2003 was it's only year.

I'd take the RGT3120 with the Lo-Pro over the EdgePro version every time!!!
I greatly favour the Lo-Pro (and original Edge) in use and imo they just make any guitar fitted with one look so much nicer also.
Same with the older ('03 and before) S-Series and the same era J-Custom RG's too, and let's not forget the USA Exotic Wood Customs, USRG's and of course, the American Masters!!!!
Guess i'm just a hardcore pre EdgePro era RG fanatic all the way. I wish they still made all the RG-Art/Paint type models too. They excited me in ways that very, very few (...if any) of the current Ibanez line-up does.

old school guy here, too.

out of the 20+ ibanez solidbodies with trems, all of them are lo-pros, but 2. those 2 have edges. plus i feel that ibanez had some of the coolest guitars in the late 90's with the original prestiges. now it seems more of a location designator as opposed to a quality stamp, but that's just my opinion.

That's actually a 3170, but your right.......never seen outside Japan.

Great price too...the last 3170 I saw was a TV going for $2100 and some change.
