What's the absolute BEST Prestige model RIGHT NOW?

What's the best one you can buy in the states right now? I'm seriously considering buying a brand new one (I teach at a store that's an Ibanez dealer; can get a pretty good deal).

So, what's the best model? I'm really looking for something with a trem.

States I don't know but so far I've tried a few prestige and I like the 2570 and 2550

my 2550 but thats not a standard one no more. pickups are changed to tonezone, blue velvet and breed and the colour is custom green, sounds awsome with the pickup combo though

With a trem, I would say that the best new Prestige models are the RG2550 and RG2570. But if you want a fixed bridge then I would definitely check out either the RGA121 or the RGA321.

They are all good, but the RGT220A or H or the RGT320Q are the best Prestiges to me. The mahogany makes them sound better for overall tone. If you are mostly into hard rock/metal, the RG2550 is probably a better way to go. I have an RGA121 and it has really good tone too. Definitely different tone than my RG550LTD or RG750 which are pretty much the same as the RG2550.

RGT's hands down. I have the RGT220H with the mahogony body and it is awesome. Beautiful warm tone, and looks cracking to boot.The thru neck is a dream to play, and i would be reluctant to buy a guitar with a bolt on in future, even another JEM. And despite some of the negative opinions of the pick ups, i like them a lot.

I'd go for an RGT.

If you work/teach in a store you should have an ideal opportunity to try out a few first hand

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. I think I'll check into that neck thru RG. I was also worried about a neck thru because, if something happens to the neck, that's pretty much it for the guitar, right?
