ishibashi was a couple hundred cheaper last time I checked, but rates may have changed

If you want it cheap buy store direct. Why anybody would want to pay a $300 upcharge for nothing more than it being listed on e-bay is beyond me.

That is probably the best way to go, unless you know someone who can read or speak Japanese. I couldn't find crap on that Ishibashi website. Even on the translated pages.

It looks like Meestursparkles at least has a good track record... so far. I can't knock him for making a few bucks with the translation and shipping. It's a little scary to think about how he got that nickname, though.

Sorry but, it seems really stupid to me to pay hundreds more to save yourself 10 minutes of work. Even if navigating is too much work (just go to http://ishibashi.co.jp/store/ and search "ibanez j custom") you can just email ishibashi and have them take care of everything for you. I can't knock him for trying to make a few bucks, but I don't know why people are spending those extra bucks

How much of a savings are we talking here? About $2300US shipped seemed resonable. How much cheaper is it direct from ishibashi? (in US dollars, sorry)

Depending on the rate but around $1900 + $125. I actually pay more than that but my deals go through my buyer and he gets his cut.

Just did a quick conversion

226800 * .95 (to get rid of japanese sales tax) = 215,460
215,460 + 16000 shipping = 231,460
231,460 yen = $1,967.96
