Try the yahoo japan auctions. You might find one on there.There are quite a few ibanez guitars on there, and generally pretty reasonably priced too.

There are a few J-customs going cheap on there too. i saw a great one go recently for less than 80,000 yen.

It.s the custom shop squiggle

There have been a handfull of the custom shops on e8ay ove the last few years, about 3 or 4, 2 in the UK, so keep eyes peeled and hope for a little luck

There have been 2 on Yahoo Japan within the last few weeks and one is still on there, but you better have a Japanese buddy to get it and ship it 'cause they don't ship overseas.

Actually quite a few of the ibanez sellers on yahoo japan do ship overseas. I've only been checking out the J-Customs, but it seems they've wised up to the fact that the custom guitars have a maket overseas. And they will almost certainly make more money on a sale if they can get overseas biddders bidding on it because second hand guitars go real cheap over here.

I could have had a near mint Jem 90th for $1200 last year. And that was from Ishibashi. Went with an RGT instead though.

I'm not sure what Yahoo you're looking at but I buy from the one where

Is listed on 99.99% of all the auctions. Please, go find me one single Ibanez guitar on Yahoo that the seller will ship internationally

And the guitars are not cheap used, in fact the market is no different than e-bay. Some go reasonable while some are over the top. [Just in case you missed the clean VDY that sold for 300,000 yen]

Make sure you do a worldwide search on evilbay. I just picked up a RG6CSD2 for £450 a few weeks ago as the only bidder. Not a scratch on it. Can't wait for my DiMarzios to turn up.
