1. Vine inlay
2. Center Dots
3. Jackson inlay (the triangles on top of the frets)

Different guitars suit different inlays imho. I like the ghost sharkstooths the least, but I would still buy a white RG2550z if I had the money.

I like custom inlay best. I got an abalone eye of Ra on one of my custom axes and I LOVE the look. From the regular Ibanez inlays i really like the vine of life, I have it on another of my axes and it looks great. I really dont like dots at all, I have a cheap beater that has dots but besides that I really wouldnt buy a guitar with em. To some people it looks classy and simple, to me I just cant help thinking that it makes the guitar look cheap somehow. Just my op .

yeah that white 2550z could have mickey mouse inlays and i would still want one

It really depends on the guitar. There are certain guitars that I feel only look right with a vine or the pyramids. I'd never put sharktooths on a more high end guitar but I think they give the cheaper guitars a nice look, particularly the ghost ones. One inlay I can't really get into is the pearl vine on the J-Customs. With wood finish guitars, I sort of feel offset dots is the way to go.
