I always liked the clean look of no inlays, just top markers.

I like the most small dots, next offset dots, next no inlays and then pyramids

Re: which inlays do you prefer?

I love block inlays on a rosewood fretboard (non-Jem), and preferably Abalone or Mother of pearl. For the Jem I am a vine lover, not big on the pyramids.

Doesn't matter. I don't pay attention to them. I realized that I don't when I got my Ovation Adamas which has no inlays.

Re: which inlays do you prefer?

vine - j custom
vine - jem
pyramids
offset dots*** messed up

either of the above is fine for me, though I am quite used to the vines.

Re: which inlays do you prefer?

Offset dots or just dots. But it depends on the guitar. Some look good with sharkteeth or pyramids. And I love the DNA inlay that's probably my all time favorite.

Re: which inlays do you prefer?

On dark boards, offset inlays at 12th fret only or mother-of-pearl vine.
On maple, disappearing pyramids or coloured sharktooth.
