Re: Which to choose ?

both basswood, both maple neck/rosewood fingerboard, both ibz pickups...

it comes down to which one do you think is prettiest.

Personally if it wasn't for the cubed finish on the RG2620 I would have gone for that. Have you considered getting a used RG3120??

Re: Which to choose ?

I like the 2620, the 5 way switch really adds some versitility. I dig the cubed finish too, the others are too plain.

Re: Which to choose ?

Thanks for the respond from u guys...
personally... i feel RG2620 in blue is prettier than the RG 2550...
but the price for the 2550 is less than the 2620... and they are almost having the same spec...
this is the main reason that make me think a lot... lol !!!
now i am still in consideration... =.=

Re: Which to choose ?

2620 without question, HH pup configuration direct mounted with 5 way selector, no pickguard, body binding, and it's DIFFERENT and each one is unique !!!!!

Re: Which to choose ?

i'd wait on the 2620 as they might get a big price drop around the beginning of the year when the '07 models hit the shelves.
like was said before - HH vs HSH and front route vs direct mount pickups. anything over and above that is just from an aesthitic standpoint.

Re: Which to choose ?

Depends on if you need the single coil or not and if you like your pickups direct mounted.
