Re: Why do our loved prestige guitars have to suffer?

Dear Mr. KenVai,

I highly suggest you read the tech section at www.ibanezrules.com for some correct information on the setup of ibanez guitars.

Love and Kisses,

CosmicDebris.

Dude... They are talking about the trem posts, not the saddles. Trem posts are almost always visible...

With the Lo Pro Edge, this problem is solved, because the Lo Profile of the saddle itself.

Hope that helps.

Tmcarr you forgot the difference between the Edge and Lo-Pro. The Edge dropped back when you loss up all the strings. With the Lo-Pro the problem was fixed

Ken when you loss up all the strings you are changing the "balance" between the strings and the springs. If you were to cut a string you would change the "balance" and the spring tension would pull the bridge back because you changed the string tension. One other tip the Edge and Lo-Pro would react in the same way as they operate on the same princples.

Not really busting your chops too much but if your going to give tips/info out make sure they are correct first. Welcome to Jemsite.

I wouldn't even do that considering he had a 570 Iron Pewter body on there recently that looked to be cracked through the trem post hole into the floating bridge recess; probably clean through the wood!
But I digress....
I haven't had much problems with ovaling on the studs but I use my trems sparsely. I tend to believe in the numbers game, though, and if a guy has lots of guitars put in front of him for resale or repair, like many here do, and if they see the same probelm over and over then a fix should be in order.
