why isn't this in the US catalog? - it's so pretty :)

Maybe they don't want to de-lineate the JEM series with the RG. *Since some people would see the vine on an RG and on a JEM and figure they're the same guitar. *Oh well, it's nice.

Yes! Very nice!

Do they think these things won’t sell in the US or something? I don’t get it.

I think they must be worried about confusing people by putting a vine on a non-jem guitar. *

They're both part of the J-Custom line. *
I think Chris is pretty close about the "Vine=Vai" theory. * That JCRG-4DBK is as hot as Ali Landry in a thong....in the summer...on my deck...eating Guatemalan Insane Asylum peppers.

Still, you can order them from Japan/Asia. *
Only the FedEx bill is stopping you. *:-) *

This belongs in the GUITAR area

That said, the J-Customs are NOT sold in the USA. The ones with the vines, and the ones without the vines

They tried it and it obviously was not a smashing success, or they'd be selling them still. But they are available from overseas nonetheless... glen

So, Mr. Logistics (Kevan), how much would it cost a bloke like you get one of these bad boys shipped to the states?

My shipping bill from Singapore to NYC (FedEx, Standard Overnight) was $230. USD. That included customs fees and duties. *Not bad. *Think of it as "tax". *LOL *From Japan to the US might be a tad higher.

www.fedex.com (click on International to get a rate quote)
www.ups.com (click on Inter....you know what to do. LOL)
www.usps.com (cheap, but very secure)

Oh, and shipping from the Far East to the States "overnight" makes it a 2-day deal. *Sorry- that's how the time zone thingy works.

There's one on Machinehead.co.uk 's site for £1500 which = $2250 I think. Then you need to pay shipping. I'd buy it from Japan it would probably be cheaper.

Hi Pablo
The one at Machinehead is the JCRG-5VV ,(very similar looking), they aint got 'em yet either, apparently only 3 coming into the U.K. in July.
(better start saving)
