Will this warp the neck?
I have my guitar currently tuned a half step down and the rest of my band can't be bothered to tune down as well so I'm stuck with transposing everything but it sucks at songs were I could really use open strings.
Is it bad for the
neck
if I tune to standard for about 3 hours without adjusting the
trus rod
and then back to half step down when I get back home? And I'd be doing that twice a week.
I have a 1570 by the way. I know the change is not much.. but I better ask first :P Thanks!

I think that , besides the pain in the a** it is to keep tuning, the only problems would be that you might have slightly higher action when you tune up if your neck is nicely adjusted for the half down tuning. Or, you may end up with a little more fret buzz when you detune if your guitar is set up to play best at standard.

You could use a capo or if that feels too weird or too difficult to move fingering patterns then Morpheus do a 'capo' pedal. You could try that. Good luck!

No you wont need to adjust the truss rod, you might have to but its not going to warp your neck lol

Re: Will this warp the neck?
Well I thought that maybe the constant change would affect the neck since as little as it might be there'd be different tensions for rather large periods of time.

Re: Will this warp the neck?
Just recently started playing down a whole step and down a whole step drop d. Had to go up to 10-46 strings and add another spring to the trem but the neck didn't need adjusted on either guitar. Should not have to keep adjusting the truss for a half step.

Tuning up or down a half should not need any neck adjustments, and will no ill effects on the guitar.
However, it is a PITA on a floating trem. Perfect excuse to pick up another guitar if you ask me.

If you need to tune up or down grab a WhammyDT and use that instead to save you time and aggrevation. It works perfectly!

Bingo, that's it and it doesn't sound as flaky as buying extra guitars to fully fit wardrobe or pumped up kicks.
