Re: WOW!!!!

I know there are a bunch on here who have JPM models. You might want to do a search too.... I'll bet you'll find tons of pics and info. Personally, I've never had the chance to play one. But I think they might be like a J custom RG8620S in regards to current models as far as pickups. Someone else can tell you better than I can. P.S. say hi to "Tif" you lucky dog.....

Re: WOW!!!!

I USED to own one... JPM100P2.... I bought it brand new, it took forever to come in. I think I payed about 1100 or so.... I really liked the sound, so much I replaced the P/Us in one of my Jacksons with the Steve's Special and the Air Norton, the same toggle switch and wired it the same. The neck ,if I remember played nice. That was what I liked about it. What I didn't like was that for the time I spent waiting and the amount of money remember this was 96'- 97', the guitar itself was less than worthy to have left the factory. The neck joint was incredibly loose.... it wouldn't stay in tune.... the neck binding had a hairlinr crack on the bass side..(always had to look at it). The graphics were awesome (so that's 3 things I liked). It's my own fault though when I bought the guitar I was too awe struck that I actually owned a sig guitar of this incredible player, not to mention I really didn't know what I should be checking for when I picked it up. A HUGE lesson learned...... very disappointing... I sold it to a friend, yes I disclosed the probs, and that was the end of my JPM experience. BTW my friend pretty much never played it ..... had it signed and back in the case it went.

Re: WOW!!!!

Nice collection..... I love the Ham.... there's a p2 on that hated site, actually 2 of them. 1 of them is not matching but the other is.

Guitardude..... I wish the guitar had not been the let down it was for me, someday I may buy another ( I really do like them) but only if I can play it first. Good luck finding one.
