Your opinions.
Hey this is a quick one, I was going to get a new guitar, but I was wondering, should I wait till Winter NAMM is over? I don't want to spend 1k and then see something badass come out. Well, unless some of you guys know a "little" on whats to come from Ibanez feel free to private message me to "what is your favorite guitar". But yes, what would you guys do?

Re: Your opinions.
2 months until NAMM. Unless you find a GREAT deal on something you REALLY want, I'd personally wait until NAMM.

Re: Your opinions.
I was discussing this with someone today, and needed to be reminded that cool new stuff from NAMM won't be available for about 3 months or so after NAMM, so your wait from now to NAMM stuff availability is like 5 months.
Just a thought

And all the cool new stuff due to come out at the next NAMM might not be as cool as the stuff that comes out the year after......... or the year after that ..........

Ah, your exactly right. You pose a great philosphical statement. There's always going to be new and exciting guitars being produced, one that you could like better than a guitar you currently have or don't have, but if you wait, you might be an old man before you can get that axe that you truly love, while, if you would have given other guitars a try, you coulda been falling in love with other sexy axes! Great statement man, really put things in perspective for me.

Very true. At least you would know after seeing something you like that you could set your sights on aquiring it when it is available. I guess "knowing" what you want makes the wait easier than NOT knowing what is coming and waiting like we are now.
Unless I grab one before NAMM (trying to wait until after NAMM ....must ....wait...a little..... longer...ARGGHH!), if nothing interests me after NAMM, I already have my sights set on a new Explorer in white and a Tele Deluxe
I am interested in what special or limited editions might stroll along. Those will be the only things that need to be "jumped on" as opposed to standard new production items.
I like to think too that (many) months after NAMM some of the new stuff gets discounted before the next NAMM show so the new products can be rolled out. Sometimes waiting a while after NAMM means either getting an item you want for much less being NOS or getting it used but mint for cheap (RGT320q for $1200!!!!).
Like it was said, perspective

Re: Your opinions.
Thing is, you can wait two months to find out what's going to be available, and then if you don't like what you see you've still got 3 months to purchase "last years" models. I think it's a win-win situation. It's not like they just wisk everything away after NAMM.

True in most cases, but I think this year should prove to be one of those exceptions. Some interesting anniversaries happen to hit this year, among them, Hoshino's 100th. It's been also announced already there will be a couple (great) surprises on the Sabre line, there will be a Xiphos 7, etc.
No doubt, wait just the few weeks more unless there is such a deal on something that makes you not care anyhow. But wait otherwise.
