yeah he definately did, and whenever he's used a 7-er its been to good effect imo..But he doesnt seem to use them live/recording that much and i doubt one would be released unless it had a commercial selling point (ie. used alot on new album next year)

I just don't understand their choices! And, why doesn't Vai play 7s anymore? Why not use that extra string for extra options if you have that kind of ability?
