AFAIK all JS100 are Korean-made.

Have you ever been able to compare it to it's big brothers, and if so, how did it stack up?

Rock on!

the guitar is preaty heavy and feel like a more expensive ibanez, so thats way I have the doubt because i have used other korean made js100 and feel kind of normal. I just love the damn thing.

Re: a 97 js100 was made in??

I had a 94 JS100 back in ..94 They are the same sub par (to JS1000) JS100s that are made in Korea, nothing speacal about them. Infact the first one I got was split down the body from neck pocket to trem post, under the paint job.

If you love the guitar does it really matter where it was made?
All that matters is you have a great guitar which you love to play, where it was made shouldn't change that.

comparing it to the '03 1000bp that i own, the neck on the 100 feels different, difficult to explain. After having changed the frets to 6105's, it is comfortable, but the 1000's neck feels like it fits better to your hands. And the trem is a lo-trs, the metal is softer, does not feel as solid and 'pro' as the edge pro. And the pickups, you eventually feel the need to change them.

It still sounds nice to me, but I ended up buying the 1000 later, as you see

I was never able to compare the MIJ 100 to a MIK 100..

Lo pro won't fit in a Lo trs II route. An original floyd rose is your best bet. Do a search, many threads on this question. Good luck.
