Amp for the js1000? - So many choices!!!

Getting my JS1000 soon!!! Woohoo!!!

Can't decide what amp to get. Want a small practice amp that can do small venues. Don't care if it needs to be mike'd either.

Of course a Satchmo fan, I can get a bit heavy metal'ish, but not looking to delve into that that much (I also have a Jackson Randy Rhoads) Jeez that's a long time ago.

Anyway, I would love some feedback on amps of this nature. I would like to keep the price under $500 *if possible. Thinking a Mesa Boogie Subway Rocket or something. Who knows.

Confused! Toss me some ideas.

Thanks!

Amp for the js1000?

Line 6 Spider ain't THAT bad. Ummmm, Crate might be an option (yuck!) a POD from Line 6 might do the trick since you can run it directly to the PA system and stuff. They have those Marshall ATV series amps that might jingle your bells. I'm not sure what Fender models you might be able to get. Mesa/Boogies are tough to find for less than 500 (around here they are...California). I haven't found a new/used one for anything less than 800. A Line 6 Flextone II amp might be able to go for 5-700 dollars depending on where you go and how you barter. Other than that I'm stumpted! I'm also getting a JS1000. I can't wait till it comes in. I'm still waiting for Rich to recieve it first. I think they'd sound good through anything as long as Satch was playin it .

Thanks for the info. I'll check the Line 6 amps. I was debating on whether or not to go with tubes as well.

Tough choice.
